Lani Burke
Scientist
Lani has recently submitted her PhD thesis at Victoria University of Wellington, where she investigated strategies towards modulating gene expression in filamentous fungi to enhance natural product biosynthesis. Her research integrated synthetic biology, fungal genetics and metabolic engineering approaches. She also holds an Honours degree in Biomedical Science, during which she studied genetic interaction networks in yeast.
